Thanks for visiting Drama Kids of the Capital Region, NY!  For over seven years, we have been successfully making a difference in the lives of over 3,000 children throughout Albany, Schenectady & lower Saratoga Counties.  

Our Director is Deanna Stickles-Bach, aka ‘Drama Mama.’  Deanna holds a BA in Music Performance and Elementary Education from Vassar College and attended graduate school at the University of Albany where she earned a MS in Literacy and Elementary Education. She has been involved in theatre all her life as a professional actress, director and art educator.  A certified NYS teacher, she has over sixteen years of teaching experience, working with children of all ages. Through Drama Kids, Deanna has found her calling – combining her passion for educating children and theatre.

Deanna strongly believes that no matter how intellectual a person is, in this day and age, strong academics just won’t cut it. An articulate and expressive person, with dynamic presentation skills, will heavily outweigh the soft spoken scholar.  Students who speak out clearly and relate confidently with peers, develop skills that make the journey through life much easier.  She, along with her awesome and talented staff, thrive on giving children the best gift ever:  the gift of CONFIDENCE.
